    Short bullet?

I was going through a box of Winchester PDX1 in .45ACP and found this.

So uh.....what do I do with this?

EDIT: Apologies for crappy cellphone pic

That's called set back. It can be caused by chambering and re-chambering rounds over and over again. Can also be caused by poor QC and a number of other things. Normally set back of this magnitude probably wouldn't hurt anything. But those appear to be HD rounds, and probably already very high pressured. If this is the case, then I wouldn't shoot it. Either toss it or use a bullet pulled to re-lengthen it back to normal.

Just re-read your post and realized that it's a 45 round. Smart money is that it's fine to shoot being that 45 is so low pressure to begin with. Safest thing to do though is toss it or fix it as I stated in my first post.

Don't have or know anyone with a bullet puller, so I guess this sucker is getting tossed. Shame.
