Cheapest 9mm I could find, $165/1000, Wolf Military Classic FMJ, any good?

Widener's Reloading and Shooting Supply has ammo and reloading supplies for sale at cheap prices. Find out why we're the best deal on the web today!

Anyone used Wolf military classic in 9mm and what is your opinion of it? i know steel casing and berdan primers are not preferred. I have also heard that the wolf ammo is very dirty. But any first hand experience with this, and if so in what pistol/carbine?

    thank you,

I have shot it through my Glocks and it cycled fine. When there are deals, you can still get FMJ for under $200 per 1k. For the little more money, I prefer others. 9mm is so inexpensive anyways.

I reload my own JHP now for about $0.10-0.11 each, so I haven't bought factory ammo in a while.

I've used it, and it works. Be prepared to clean your firearms a lot more.

I tried some in the SR9. The gun ate 'em with no problem. Since I clean my guns anyway after a range session, I don't worry about "dirty" ammo. It was a little "dirtier", maybe, than the Federal or Blazer Brass from Wal-Mart, but it's not that bad.

Pay no more than $9.00/box for the Wolf (now TulAmmo or WPA) ammo, given Wal-Mart's prices of $12.00 for reloadable Federal rounds. Personally, I'd wait for the sales where you can get it for close to $8.00/box.

They are good for what they are, cheap plinking rounds. Dont expect phenomenal accuracy, and like one poster said, they run a little dirtier than most. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them, have before with zero problems.
