There is no affiliation here, I simply am passing along this information....

I happened into La Mesa Collectibles this afternoon and noted that there was a sign for the next reloading class. August 20, 2011 at 010:00 to 13:00. Charge is $50, normal class size is usually 4 to 5, but it's optimum is 8.

Learn the basic lessons on how to load and operate presses.

There is a lot of reloading gear available there too by the way. No they have not received their FFL yet and only sell air rifles at this time.

Its my local go to store for bullets... just picked up 500 .45 23ogr lrn for $66 + tax. Midway cant beat that with the shipping cost.

Seems like a lot to pay, unless they are set-up to have you actually reload some rounds. Otherwise, read the manuals you have to buy any way.
I thought about teaching reloading, but the NRA cost is just too much.
My thought was to make it an 8 hour class and have some of the small Lee Reloading Presses and die sets for the students to actually work through what is discussed. They would keep the press, the dies, and probably 2 manuals (including the Lee manual, in this case).

I took this class a while back; it was pretty interesting since I didn't know anything about reloading before this. They do go through all the steps and have the students come up and try it themselves. I believe we were practicing on a Rock Chucker. In addition to the manual, they have handouts that emphasize the most important safety issues, list the steps in order, etc.
