    Where to buy powder

Are there any places in the west side of Los Angeles to get powder? Right now I'm looking for H110 not thrilled with the drive from the lax area to Covina but I'll make it if necessary.

Rettings in culver city has a small selection as does Turners in Torrance. Not sure about h110, but I got w231 at both recently.

I buy it in bulk. I order from Powder Valley. I just received 10 pounds of powder, 5,000 primers and 500 bullets. I should have ordered some more, but it will do for now.

          Buy Powder

^ This is the solution. I bought a pound of Reloader 10x from the local gun shop for $38.99, Powder Valley sells it for $19.15 per pound. When I run out of powder it may be convenient to grab some from the local dealer, but I save a bundle when buying 5 or 10 pounds from Powder Valley. Add primers and brass to the order and things get cheaper still, even including the Haz-Mat fee and shipping. Besides, no running around, no traffic hassle, UPS delivers it to my door. Even better they carry all brands of powder, primers and a variety of brass, the local store is limited.

Just left Rettings didn't see any powder the same with Turners Torrance unless they hide it. I don't do a lot of reloading right now a couple hundred rounds of this and that so bulk ordering is questionable. I bought some 4895 from Turners out Norwalk way but Ammo Bros sounds closer will have to check them out. A 25 buck hazmat charge on a 25 dollar order of powder makes no sense at my level of reloading.

I just chedked h110 has a fast burn rate for handguns. My tac won't match that rate h110 is #62 on chart and tac is #86 .

Mostly 30 carbine but might load some 357 with it. We're desert plinkers so there's no mad scientist work going on here. Most of my reloading is/will be 30-06 garand, 30 carbine, 38 special, 357 mag, and eventually some 9mm in that order. In a perfect world I'd have two powders for all. I've read the h110 will work on the carbine and the magnums 357/44.

Gas is about $4/gallon. $30 for hazmat and shipping = 7.5 gallons. How far and what do you drive?

Powder Valley is really the best place to go unless you absolutely need it right then. Their shipping prices are very fair, and prices are really good.

I'll spend 8-10 to save 50. I am going to check out Powder Valley and maybe drive over to Ammo Bros.

My local range is set up with powder valley. Every month or so we do a group buy

What local range are you talking about pontiac? A group buy is a good idea, i wouldnt mind doing that.
