    223 for AR reloads

I have a 16" 1in7 I also have lots of 748, would like advice on loading dies and bullets for best at 200-400 yards. Small Base, Full length, or new RCBS AR dies???? I have just been reading all kinds of things and do not know who to listen to.

    Thanks

the lee rgb are great for me they are only $12 but if you dont have a shellholder set it may be worth it to get the lee dies that come with the shellholder

ive loaded at least 5,000 with either 55gn or 62gn fmjs i just use what i can find cheap be it winchester fmj or wideners bulk

I'm using Lee dies, 69grn SMK's with either W748 or Varget and makes 1/2" groups at 100yds in a 20" 1in7 upper. You might want to go with 77grn SMK's
      for longer distance.

I have the redding competition die set. I love them, the micrometer helps when adjusting the seating depth for those SMK's.

You want a full length seating die for semi-auto.

I have Bravo 1/7 with 8 lbs of 748 as well, but I don't think that should determine your die set.

16" barrel isn't the proper setup for long range target type shooting.
California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.
