    Surplus ammo bullet seating

Hey guys. It's my first time buying surplus ammo. specifically 7.62x51 nato British surplus radway green from 1993. i'm going to use it in my saiga .308. I know that saigas eat anything, but i'm just a little concerned about the seating of the bullets. Some of the bullets have a gap between the bullet and the casing no bigger than 1mm like shown in the picture. Is this okay to shoot?

One more question. I'm going to be zeroing in a scope. I've never done it before. Should I use this ammo or am I better off zeroing with commercial ammo?

    thanks for any input

Ammo is fine to shoot and zero with remember its milspec ammo so accucary wont be like milspec match ammo. remember a 3 inch to 6 inch group is good by some military standards. a torso on average is 18" wide and 24" long.

Ammo looks fine. Zero your scope with the ammo you will be using the most. Every time you use a different ammo, expect the point of impact to be a little off.
