    Hornady PTX issues

I have the ptx in 9, 40, 45 i also have the new powder measure stop bracket and have become pretty good at dialing all of them in, however on the upstroke of the press the case seems to be stuck on the ptx creating a popping and is putting alot of stress on my workbench and greatly slowing the reloading process down. Anyone have these same issues? I know everyone is raving over the powder funnel but i already invested in three ptx's and want to see if there is something i can do. 9mm is much worse than 40 and 45 as far as sticking. Any help is much appreciated.

Had the same problem when loading 44 Special's. Changed to funnel...that cleared it up.
I have no idea what caused it.
    You might call Hornady.

If you don't expand the case ID (not just flare/bell the case mouth) during the powder charging, you really need to do it before. It is a very important step for making excellent ammunition. Except for Lee, I think all die manufacturer's supply a dedicated expander die.
I have never had this problem with my PTXs, but would recommend:
      1) polish the exterior
      2) apply a dry lube such as graphite spray
      3) Remove any flex in mount and work bench
      4) As above, use a dedicated expander die before powder charging.
