Hey everyone. I'm new to reloading and had a quick question. I'm loading a 115 gr 9mm round nose Berrys preferred plated bullet and was hoping someone could tell me what bullet to specifically look up in my loading tables. Thanks.

I can tell you that plated bullets should be loaded somewhere in the middle between copper jacket'ed and lead bullets. For my 9mm loads I settled on 6.1g of Ramshot True blue and berry's 115g plated bullets for my glock 17. None of my reloading manuals have data for plated bullets! -

Also, Lee has reloading data for copper plated bullets. It's worked well for me. You can get their whole reloading manual for $13 on Midway, or just give them a call and order a 9mm datat sheet for like $5.RLTW

Start loads for FMJ seem to work fine.
I use the guidance on Berry's web site which says to use start to mid-range jacketed load data. Using start loads for 115gr FMJ has worked great for me.When asked what qualities he most valued in his generals, Napoleon said, "give me lucky ones."Comment
