    .223 Non Magnetic

For any of you guys that shoot at Angeles, what is a good option for a non-magnetic ammo, that can be found in bulk, that wont break the bank? I am talking about 55-62gr.
    Thanks

XM193 is lead, 55gr. It can be found for $300 per 1000.

So the XM193 has no steel jacket, or anything? And that is also 'ball' ammo, right? Could anyone clue me in on what ball means?

Ball refers to the basic shape of the grains of powder. The other shape that is out there is flake powder. Ball powder usually meters better when reloading, vs flake powder.

If your talking about reloading. Rounds like the M2 Ball, the .30-06 round chosen by the military to feed the M1, pretty much now just means FMJ. Ball or FMJ would be used to differentiate between other types of rounds such as tracer, blank, etc. Holdover word from when bullets were really balls.

Any M193, PMC, Fiochhi. I think most 223 is non magnetic.

Yep, "ball" typically refers to FMJ style bullets, not powder shape.

PMC or XM-193 are best choices for cheap FMJ that has no steel in the projectile.

That's what I've paid for Lake City mfg. at the Ventura Gun Show in the not too distant past. I'd guess you can find it at the Costa Mesa show for similar pricing. I've seen PMC in that price range as well but prefer Federal/Lake City.

Check out cabelas until the 5th. They have 50cent shipping and no tax. The promo code is FIFTY. I got 1000 rounds of American Eagle tactical shipped to the door for $290. That's pretty hard to beat when you don't have to drive anywhere.
