The brass length for your 223 looks very short. I normally have my brass length at 1.75ish.

what is the bullet weight? hodgon says 27.5 is max for varget for 50-55gr bullet

looks like max case length is 1.759" and trim length to 1.750"

my manual calls for the length of the brass to be 1.760 but the remington brass, after full length resizing would reach that number

and how far can i seat the bullet? the oal is 2.2 but how far can it go?

That's a pretty inconsistent brass length. What trimmer are you using?

What rifle is this being shot out of?

i didnt trim any of the brass they all were short. its just the standard rem brass.

and this will be shot out of a stag arms model 8 and a mini-14

Is there any particular reason you chose magnum primers with Varget?

you can shoot those, i wouldnt worry too much about seating depth and case length for your first batch. Keep them within the min and the max and you will be fine. you can experiment with different lengths and depths later, also you can experiment with other primers and other powders too. im sure the magnum primers will work well enough with vargent

see my above post. but min to max would be + or - .010" from 1.750" from what i have read.

overall length 2.200" or 2.220" for 55gr bullet depends on the bullet type.
