    mailing shotgun

A friend is coming to visit and is wanting to bring his shotgun to shoot some trap but does not want to check it into the airline unless he has to. If I am correct he can send it to himself in care of my address. How can I sign for it? He will be here late Saturday and we have a shoot Sunday. he will mail it to arrive Thurs or Friday And I need to be able to pick it up. Will any adult sig work or does it have to be his.

Any has worked for me in the past. He can also put on it to hiself and on the next line "C/O your name"
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

If you are signing for it at your front door then any adult can sign. It doesn't have to be the person named on the package. Keep in mind that both UPS and FedEx require you to be at least 21 years of age to sign for an "adult signature" package.

If you are picking the package up at the carriers facility then they will most likely want to see an ID with an address that matches the address on the package. The name doesn't have to match, just the address.

But like Divernhunter says, tell your friend to address the package to himself "care of" you at your address...
