    147gr vs 115gr difference on 9mm

Would their be a lot of difference in regards with recoil and accuracy using 147gr vs 115gr ammo? I currently reloading on 115gr bit I'd like to know if their would be a lot of difference on my G34.

I don't think one can really feel a significant amount of difference in recoil due to bullet weight.
Given same bullet w/ different powder charges, the recoil is quite noticeable. If you are shooting factory & different brand ammo/different wt. bullet, you'll probably feel some difference.

Accuracy is more of a Shooter issue, than ammo issue IMO. However on handloads, the accuracy can be made better.

Do you have fixed sights? Bullet weight will play more of a roll in accuracy w/ fixed sights.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I only shoot 124gr's and 147gr's. I love low recoil loads, and for very little recoil, 147gr is where it's at. For my normal plinking rounds I shoot 124gr. I find 115gr just too snappy.

I have been shooting light load 124's for 2 years now out of my 17L. 14# recoil spring and steel guide rod. Very different from Factory 115gr., Will eventually try 147's after the 124's are gone.

I normally shoot 124's at 1100 FPS out of a trio of Glocks with very good results in terms of accuracy and power to knock down poppers and steel. That said, I loaded up some 147's to 1000 and 1050 FPS and found them to be more accurate than the 124's. Titegroup for the 124's and Power pistol for the 147's. YMMV

Geez I'm the only odd ball here then. I shoot 115s. Never tried 124s or 147s. Maybe my next years re-stock buy I'll add those weights to my list and try.
