    Dillon... Never Ceases to amaze...

I have to say. After owning my Dillon XL650 for a little over a year now, Dillon has come through on any issue thus far. A few examples.

I believe due to my own ordering error, I got a partial die set (but wanted the full die set). Called them up, they shipped the remaining pieces, charged the difference and shipped on their dime.

Next was an issue with a case plate. It needed a washer to space the large pistol plate out from the feeder (7.62x39 and Grendel). They immediately took my info and dropped in the mail free of charge.

I know these are little things and a premium is paid for their equipment, but experiences like this make me very glad to be their customer. Class act operation!

I'm beginning to find this out. I have owned mine for less than 2 weeks. And after having the Hornady LnL for almost year. Dillon is superior as an Auto Case Feeder. I have tweeked with the Hornady and their wire cams and beginning to give up as Hornady being a Auto Case Feeder. The Dillon XL 650 with all the Cams, Switches and Levers, Hornady was never intended to be an Auto Case Feeder. As a manual feeder Hornady is fine. I love that XL 650 though. Trouble Free. Dillon has been around longer than Hornady. Hornady has admitted to me that they are working on the issues. I suspect the next version of the LnL will have to have all new design changes. Perhaps the LnL Profesional Model Version 2

I had broken the expander ball stem of my 308 dies and Redding sent me out a new one free of charge. Great CS all around.

I break the decaping stems on my dies all the time when a berdan primed case slips by. RCBS has probally replaced at least a dozen over the past several years. NC

Dillon sets the customer service bar pretty high in this business, but most are very good. (Dillon goes the extra mile, because they've fixed my screw-ups as well as theirs, which have been few and minor.) I also had a Redding carbide die that the carbide insert came out of, they sent me a replacement die before I shipped the defective one back. This is a small, niche business and word gets out fast if you screw your customer base.

Well, I think it's limited on how our acquired your Dillon is how you get treated, for instance when I first bought my 550B, I acquired it used and it had some parts needed replacing, Dillon took care of me and send the extra parts, 3 months later I bought a XL650 also used, it had some parts needed for replacement as well as missing parts, the replacement parts was free, and I happily paid for the parts I needed (this was closing time). That night I went thru my used XL650 a second time and found it was missing some other parts, I called in first thing in the morning and wanted to add to my order, the response was the order was sent thru but has not ship and I would have to make a new order, my issue is their shipping and handling for a $10 item is $7-$8... but I needed the part so I got charged twice... I also got the comment of "well you bought it used" from the Dillon Cust Service guy (maybe it was too early in the morning for him), I'm thinking "What does that have to do with it, I buy your product and give you great repour with free advertisement for the Blue Kool-Aid" I thinking Gosh, in my the last four years, I've owned 3 550B and 2 XL650.. sold a few cause I needed the funds, still have one of each and I get that remark...and it's not like just because I buy my presses second hand, Dillon does not get the business, I've spent $100's thru Dillon for upgrades and such as well as from Dillon retailers. All my presses except for my SS is a Dillon.

Anyways, sorry for the venting, though they come thorough in most cases, I would not say they have the best customers service attitude anyways...

That's a bit strange and random. You place a new order with Dillon and out of the blue the rep. says well you bought it used. How did he even know it was used, what else was left out the conversation that preempted him to say that. Or was that something used out of context? Just seems so random.

I bought all of my Dillon Presses used, Dillon keeps a history of every order by customer number, so the Rep knew my orders in the past.. Usually when you buy used press, it usually have worn or parts which needs replacing and you can only get these parts from Dillon (stores mostly carries kits few carries individual parts).

Dillon will still get my business as I do think they have the best presses designed out there. It's just sad to hear something like that from them. I am very happy with their machines.
