    Yes, I clean mine after use. I use either the Imperial Sizing Wax or the Dillon spray for case lube (I mainly do bottleneck rifle). I use carburetor cleaner, then some of the Tetra Gun spray and lube for corrosion protection. These are precision metalworking tools built to close tolerances and foreign material just doesn't help them work better.

      Hmph my dies are starting to develop surface rust I notice from being in the garage after a few months is this a big deal?

        I'd get it off then use some sort of corrosion protection treatment. I use Tetra Gun Spray (as mentioned above) and CLP is also good. Just wipe it off before you use the dies.

            I'm with Joelogic.. you need to clean your dies? I don't think I ever have... been loading for over 20 years... never had to clean em..

              I just take a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol and swab the insides of my dies quickly every 3,000 rounds or so. Just a quicky wipe. I have never needed to actually clean them because of this preventitive maintance.

                  Yeah, I spray my dies out with brake cleaner when I first get them, to get rid of any oils and gunk left over from the manufacturing process, but did not know you were supposed to clean again after that!
