    There's a better way ...

    You don't want to get started reloading with some homemade concoction as a case lube. That's a sure way to get a case jammed (and I mean jammed) into your die. That won't make handloading very enjoyable. As others have suggested, try Imperial Sizing Die Wax. It is by far the best case lube Ive ever used. You can get a lifetime supply of it for $6. One can lasts a very LONG time.

      Add Chapstick and Bag Balm to the list they will also work.
