Getting ready to take the plunge

Well after talking about reloading for quite a while I have finally decided to take the plunge and buy the equipment to start. For now I am primarily focusing on learning how to make match ammo for my new .223 and .308 bolt guns. I also want to make sure that I can reload .300 win mag which I am planning on getting later this year. Anyways after spending time at my friend's house I think I am going tontry to purchase a Lymann Tmag II turret press. Now I need to figure out how I m going to clean/trim my brass and how I'm going to measure my powder loads. I've been having fun reading many of the threads here and I still have more to read! Please feel free to post any thoughts.

First buy the Lyman reloading manual and read it. Next I would suggest getting a single stage KIT to start with.

I use the Forster Original Trimmer along with a 3 in 1 (trimmer, chamfer, defurr). works very well and combines 3 steps into 1.

I went balls out and got myself a RCBS chargemaster to dispense and weigh my powder.

Not necessary, but very nice to have.

I load my match 308 and 223 on my single stage RCBS Rock Chucker. Handgun rounds on a Lee Turret Press.

I agree w/ the consensus. If you going to start w/ rifle ammo reloading. Go w/ the single stage. You're not going to shoot a couple hundred rounds at a time. Better to make small batches & test them out. Be Patient! You'll have a great experience.

I have 2 Dillon 650's I load pistol on & 1 rifle. But the ol' Rockchucker gets plenty of use! Much cheaper to convert calibers w/ a Rockchucker/single stage press as well.
