    First load

After reading an older 45 colt manual, the lee loading information, etc. Set up mu turret and cranked out 25 rounds. I'm not going crazy until I test them out. My powder load using Trail Boss is right around 5.5 grains +\- .

Sutters choice 200grain Round flat lead bullet sized at .454

My only concern as a newb is that the bullets seem to expand the brass just a hair, so that you see a slight bulge where the bullet is seated.

Is this normal? I wish I could get a picture up....

Completely normal. Load on. And good choice in choosing trail boss. One of my personal favorites.

Try dry cycling them in the gun. If they fit, then you'll be fine.

Are you loading 45 Colt or 45 ACP? .454 is a bit big for .45 ACP but, just fine for 45 Colt or Long Colt.
