I know you cant reload steel cases, but what about cases that are silver in color? I got some from some 38 caliber lodex brand reloads and I wanted to make sure i can reload them. What is th difference between the brass and silver cases?

nickel plated brass should be fine. It just does not tarnish as fast as brass does. -
I like nickel plated, it just prettier! It is a tad thinner than regular brass. But 38's tend to be low pressure, so you should be able to get 6-10 reloads out of them.Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...
I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

What makes you think you can not load steel cases?
They generally don't last as long -- but certainly can be reloaded a few times.
Nickle cases have their devotee's and I like them for black powder as they don't stain as badly but they can become a bit brittle and crack at the mouth.
