    LnL & XL 650

I currently own the Hornady. When 1st recieved it took a few hours to set up. I have had it for 8 months and love it. A month ago I added the auto case feeder. Once set up properly works good. I did have some issues with the pivot block and adjusting the cam wire for cases coming into the shell plate. Called Hornady (great customer service) and sent me at no charge a new pivot block and cam wire. I pointed out to them some design issues and they agreed and they are working on a fix.

Today I will be recieving the Dillon XL 650. I want to be the one to have both and finally put to rest......Dillon vs. Hornady. I found Dillon customer service just as good as Hornady. Updates on both will be shared with all.

One thing tho. Dillon has a low powder alarm for the hopper that holds powder. Give me a break. Pay attention to your processs and look at the powder hopper occasionly.

I do like Hornady's Powder Cop for under or over charges. My Dillon will have the electronic powder check to verify the same.

Subscribed even though I know what the outcome will be

Your 650 experience will crush your LNL one. Especially when you start to load real fast. The LNL has admitted flaws, the 650 does not.

If you have time post some side by side videos.

Sorry Craig but this has been done before many times. you will not be "the one". I have personally had both on the bench at the same time for about a year. The outcome came down to my personal experience/preference and need. The same out come will be yours. I already see which way you are leaning so if you are doing this for a "Once and for all' experiment, you are wasting your time and money and probably just starting a ruckus on the forum for nothing.

Let the Hornady vs Dillon thing die...

First...Can you say have you had a hands on experience with Hornady. I find its not about speed with me. Its about accuracy. Any machine or gun with an assembly design will have its individual little quirks that an end user and owner will refine the process.

You are probably right. My intent is not to start a "Rukas". And I know I will not be "The One". I just want to compare the two myself. I used the wrong choice of language. Sorry. Its a customer survey. For those that are split on making the choice. And to choose which one I want to use for the particular ones I want to load.

My good buddy has two LNL's. Not a bad machine, but at fast speeds it will have problems with a case feeder.

No way you'll be tell an accuracy difference between the two with handgun ammo. There's no way to judge accuracy with handgun ammo (from different presses) without a ransom rest IMO.

              Dillon is top dog...

I have both. I use both.

The truth of the matter is that, once setup and configured, there is NOT a big difference at all, despite what the Dillon and/or Hornady fanboys profess. I can punch out virtually the same quality and quantity of ammo, along with virtually identical amounts of ease or problems on either one.

The Hornady took a little more work to "fine tune" than the Dillion, but after that, either will do the trick just fine. This whole "debate" is extremely childish and nonsensical, based on a vast majority of posts I see about it.

I wouldn't have purchased both if it weren't for a KILLER deal that I got on the Dillon from a cousin that was allowing the Dillon to collect dust.
