too many variables here to give an answer with the little info provided
new brass or once fired?
1lbs bottle or an 8lbs keg?
1000 primers or 5000 primers?
plinking styled bullets or hunting style?
dont forget to add in things like shipping, tax, or hazmat fee's
when you can get that info plug it into this site
Since I dont load 30-30 I can't give you even an idea
Im sure others will chime in who do load 30-30"Americans have the right and advantage of being armed - unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms." James Madison

It would save you from as little as 30%-70%, depending on what price and the quantity you buy....with liberty and justice for all. Void where prohibited, offer not valid everywhere, price may change. I agree... my 30-30 WIN light loads are fun to shoot steel plate out to 100 yards and extremely cheap to assemble.
I cast my own 150gr LFN & 170gr LFN from free lead I got from my buddy who runs a Good year. Over the years he has given me quite alot so I have a large inventory.
You do not need alot of Trail Boss to push them boolits out of a Winchester lever action.
So in my case, my costs are very low...

3 cents a primer, 10-12 cents a bullet, 10 cents a case and maybe 6 cents of powder per round.
Once you have the brass, you won't have to factor it in to the next series of loadings as 30-30 brass can be re-used 6-10 or more times depending on how stout you load it.
These costs are based on average prices for components in small quantities. Less is more, more is less

w/o factoring in the initial cost of brass or tumbling.
i'd say $0.20 to $0.25 per round for plinking.
most of the cost will depend on the type of bullet you want. brass-wise, if you're by Covina, phillip's wholesale has some good deal on 30-30. you can buy them new for $15 or range pickups for $2 /lbs.Comment

light 30-30 WIN is comparable to 22 Mag, but with slightly more recoil.
They don't kick at all...

Loading quality rounds costs me less than .50 each.
Hornady FTX bullets at 26$/100
1lb of powder is 22$, 10 cents a round (29grains per round, about 230 rounds per lb of powder )
Primers 30-35$/1000. (3-3.5 cents each)
Brass, i'm considering a zero cost for me. I've got over 100 from remington factory ammo, and a pile of about 150 randoms from a range or other reloader. Relatively low pressures (for a rifle) means that the brass is unlikely to go bad anytime soon.
Costs on powder come down significantly when you go bulk, changing to a cheaper or cast bullet will cut that down significantly as well, and you can use cheaper CCI primers too. (20-30$/1000 depending on source) You can buy range brass at abour 3$/lb at some places, more if it's cleaned/prepped/etc... New brass is under 1$ per case (varies by manufacturer.)Originally posted by greasemonkey1911's instill fairy dust in the bullets, making them more deadly.Comment
