Ammo for Front Sight

So I'm going to attend the 4-day Defensive Handgun course at Front Sight this June.

I'm looking for ammunition online since the stuff at FS is really expensive. I have a bunch of reloads but unfortunately reloads aren't allowed.
To quote the web site,
"ammunition with a steel jacket or steel core, unplated lead bullets, reloads, or remanufactured ammo" is prohibited.

I'll be bringing my Glock 19 (yes, I'm cheap), which, of course, uses 9mm Luger.

I'm still kind of new to handguns and am not familiar with the various types and manufacturers of handgun ammunition. I'm looking for the cheapest way to obtain 600 cartridges that meet the above criteria.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Walmart sometimes has 250 round UMC Remington Megapacks for something like $53 + tax. That's probably about the cheapest you'll get with those parameters for brass cased ammo. The steel or aluminum cased stuff might be a little cheaper, but I don't feed that to my guns.

And the smaller quantities of Federal 9mm FMJ (individual boxes of 50) are $10.47 as of yesterday, if the bulk-packs aren't in stock.

If you already have the components to load 9mm, all you need is 600 new casings. Order 1000 new cases from Starline.

These would be "handloads", but not "reloads" and meet the criteria that you posted!

Sorry, handloads won't cut it either as they state somewhere that all catastrophic failures they've experienced were from reloaded ammunition...and it's not just you who can be injured since you've usually got someone to your immediate right and left, and a 'buddy' right behind you. They are a bit anal about it, but they're also going through hundreds of students a day of all types of experience, so even though YOUR reloads may be perfect, they don't know you from Bubba who mixed up his loads while drunk and loading shotgun shells at the same time.

I just did the course with Winchester White Box purchased from WalMart for about $23/100 and had a grand total of one failure to extract, probably from a slightly underpowered round...much better performance going through that many rounds than I've had from even factory reloads.

Ammo for Front Sight has to be Factory Ammo, No handloads nor reloads! Your gun and AMMO gets inspected before you even get close to a range.

Use CCI Blazer. It has a non-re-loadable aluminum case but is 1st grade commercial ammo in every way otherwise.

Why pay good money for re-loadable brass case ammo and then leave the brass for FS to make even more money off you

Make it easy on yourself and buy it right at Front Sight. I think it runs around $11 per box. Super simple

WTF reloads aren't allow? Personally I wouldn't train with them if I cant use my own reload. But that's just me.

Looks like I should have kept all of my empty boxes of factory ammo that I used before I was reloading. Now I will be picking up some empty boxes at the range and than sorting brass by headstamp and repackaging them back into factory boxes.

Just go by the Walmart in Pahrump and buy all of your ammo for the class. It is one of the best stocked Walmarts - ammo wise - I have ever seen. They had ammo available two years ago when the other stores didn't. They must sell a TON of ammo!

You can also fly -in your checked luggage- with a certain amount. Each airline is different so go to their website to see how much weight they allow you to check in your luggage.
