    Need help w/ 9mm boolits

here's my setup- 125 gr. bear creek moly boolits over 3.5 gr bullseye and col of 1.065 and a taper crimp of .378 or so at the mouth of cartridge. The prob is when I release the slide on my pistol I get a FT Feed every time. Accuracy is great but 3-5 ftf's per magazine is nuts! Also I tried less c.o.l. and a tighter crimp, but nada works. Maybe longer col?

Not sure what model is your 9mm gun in question but DON'T polish the feed ramp just yet. I've seen many guns ruined with a amature feed ramp polishing job. OAL too short or too long will cause feeding problems. 1.065" seems a bit short. Load them to the recommended length of at least 1.100". Crimp doesn't help feeding.

Pull the barrel and drop some rounds in to see if they sit flush.

I had a similar problem and it turned out that the cast bullets I was using need to be sized down. They were only about a half a thousandth over, but it made a difference.

Bumpo if I remember right you have a CZ75? I had the same problem with cast projectiles in mine but they feed just fine in my other 9mm pistols. Its that tight fit of the barrel. You might need to size them. I am not sure if they size then coat or size after coating. I need to try Bear Creek out. Good luck.

No, I have a Sig P225. I have heard of this issue a few times before on this forum. It doesn't seem to be confined to a particular brand. Every time I have seen it, it's with the larger cast bullets like 124 grain.
AFAIK, 115 grain bullets don't ever have an issue.

              OP:
              What gun are you using?

I usually load the 125gr Bear Creek "roundnose" bullets to 1.100"

Never had any trouble with them feeding in any of the 9's I've fired them from.
