    Ring around brass from trimmer.

I got my Kwick case trimmer and power adapter in the mail yesterday and I've been at the bench ever since, but I have noticed that when I use the trimmer, the side of the trimmer scratches away on the brass enough that it will catch my nail.

Anybody else having this problem and would you not use the brass?

There should be a picture in the original post. The mark is around the bullet case.

I'm not sure that I understand exactly what you mean.

You usually have to chamfer the case mouth after trimming...
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

You talking about the "ring" scratch about 1/4 the distance from the case shoulder? I would see what was causing that! Burr? as someone suggested, If that is enough to feel w/ your fingernail, I would not shoot it.

I feel kinda stupid it took me this long to find out what it was, it was from me putting a little weight on the case when I deburred it, thanks for all the help. I guess I shouldn't have primmed all the cases now huh....

Does it make a difference if the mark is made from the deburr?

Update: I was shooting at angeles today and I picked up a RCBS deburrer. Trimmed and deburred using the new tool and no more marks. I should have known not to compromise on the deburrer, but I guess you live and learn.

The RCBS deburrer also feels a lot better in my hand, does the job better, and it even SMELLS better compared to the lee deburrer. Learn from my mistake and just pay the extra 15$ for a better tool.

PS, the possum hollow kwick trimmer is awesome.
