    Thoughts on herters

Ordered some Herters in .308 whats your opinion on it. I've heard some mixed thoughts on this ammo some say they wouldn't touch the stuff which makes me worry about shooting it and others say they run it all the time. I also know thats its re-branded wolf, I just mainly want to know if I should shoot it in my savage.

I bought it for my savage axis in 308.

It will work. "I" prefer brass cases which I can reload. It will probably be dirtier than commercial USA etc ammo. Just clean the rifle and you will be fine. It probably will not be quite as accurate as so other ammo. It will not damage your rifle.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

I shot a BUNCH of it a few weeks ago. I had one squib load from Herters .308. Other than that, it shot well. It's the only squib I've ever had from a factory round, and it was likely a primer only load or a VERY light powder load as the bullet was lodged in the barrel close enough to the chamber that the rifle would not go into battery. Not sure how I feel about it, because of the squib.
Accuracy and cleanliness were acceptable, especially for the price.
