    Have you ever seen this

After some matches I pick up some brass and unfired rounds to pull apart
    usually reload for practice rounds.
The 9mm had a steel cored jacketed bullet theres no primer hole ??
the 223 wouldnt pull until the jacket let loose who the heck glues they're bullets like this ?? Wonder what kinda pressure it would make.

Were these factory loads? The .223 kinda looks like someone severely over-crimped it. Does the 9mm have a steel case? Almost looks like a Wolf screw up.

Man...The 223 looks like a combo of over-crimp, case sealant, and a weak jacket-core bond. The 9mm? Cheap steel cased stuff. No flash holes aren't uncommon.

I loaded up a box of 9mm 115 jhp a few years ago, and the bullets were old bullets made back in the 70's. One of the "bullets" was just a jacket, completely devoid of a lead core, but otherwise looking exactly like a bullet with no way of telling it had no core except to weigh it and look at the cavity in the nose. I'm still curious what kind of velocity I could get out of it.

The 9mm had no powder either could be the wolf type goof case is not wolf color or the bullet.
The 223 shows no sign of a crimp let alone a over crimp took alot of tries with the puller
till I cranked the collet tight enough.
I would say they look to be factory loaded.

So someone "made" the 9mm case without the primer hole for a dummy round
and it is stamped "WIN 9MM LUGER"
The 223 is a lake city case I should cut it open and see if its a "new" round

That .223 looks like a hollowpoint. Some varmint rounds have ultra thin jackets which may be the cause of the separation.

I've had the cores come out of .357 SJHP when using an inertial puller leaving the jacket in the case. I was disassembling somebody else's handloads for recycling. There was no danger of undercrimping.

Was their powder in them. When I said "made" I was talking about putting a bullet in a case with no powder to make a dummy round. Not turn out a new case.

Yea the 9mm was like a dummy round no primer and no powder.
The 223 was a new round I drilled it open and the powder was alittle wet.
