    Lyman Reloading Handbook - Impressive

Wow. I just got the Lyman reloading handbook, 49th edition and I am impressed with how much more I am getting and learning as opposed to the ABC's of reloading. Don't get me wrong, the ABC's of reloading had great info but it seems i'm learning more from the Lyman than I am with the ABC's. Anyway, I expect to get the dillon 650 in the next month or so (need to build my workbench first) and the Lyman handbook along with you fine folks here will get me where I need to be with reloading.

Yep. That's why it gets suggested so much.

I agree, the instructional portion is outstanding! I don't find the load data to be extensive enough for my needs, so I made sure to get three other books as well. Also good to have more so you can cross reference.

I got the Lyman 49th as my 1st book along with Loadbooks USA for 308 and 223. Also got me a Sierra manual.

Most load data can be found on manufacturers websites. Always good to have them handy on the workbench though.

I didn't like the lyman manual at first bc I wasn't finding data on fmj's but after reading the first 5 chapters I have to agree that it's pretty solid for newbies like myself. I plan on getting either the Sierra 5th edition manual or Speer #14 next.
