Broke out the classic loader today

I was showing a friend my reloading stuff today and decided to make a 200gr rnfp 45acp with my LEE classic loader to show how you can reload ammo for $30.00. I will admit that I will never load with it again unless I am loading at the range, but it was pretty darn fun to complete the process start to finish with nothing more than a mallet. I get the whole idea of how great a press is, and I love my turret press, but I learned so much by starting as bare bones as you can get for as little money as possible.

Seems like the Lee classic loader is the ultimate SHTF/backup press too.

If you ever have to bug out, you won't be stuffing your dillon progressive in your backpack, that's for sure.

True, but that Dillon progressive--or any other progressive for that matter--hopefully has already made you a lot of ammo before the SHTF. Be Prepared, say the Boy Scouts!

Never tried a Lee Classic Loader, but thinking about it for 7.62x54R, since it neck-sizes.

The Lee is certainly acceptable, but, I much prefer the Lyman 310 "nutcracker" tooling.
