Tough time finding ammo near me

I live near Palm Springs, not a really big area in total. Ordered my first gun recently and went to buy some ammo today. Walmart - no .38 specials. Big 5 - two available but didn't recognize either as a known brand. Darn, that is pretty bad. Guess I will go online unless another Coachella Valley Calgunner can tell me where I should go. Thanks. 38 spl is not a real popular caliber these days, I shoot it and reload for it.. components are everywhere and the round is very easy to do. But to find ammo for it, the best route would be the gun shows and stock up

      Here's a pretty good deal:
Cheaper Than Dirt! is America's Ultimate Shooting Sports Discounter, and we live up to that title. Expect bulk ammo deals, discounts, gun care accessories and more

      $138 + $20 shipping for 500 rounds = under $16 per box delivered.

CTD also has other BVAC reloads with WC, RN, or HP bullets for similar prices.
Ronald Reagan once said that the most terrifying words in the English language are: "I'm from the government and I'm here to help".
