Loading different types/sizes of shotgun ammo

Hi guys,

I was wondering if it is unsafe to load different types (buckshot, slug) and/or different lengths (2.75", 3") of ammo into a shotgun?

The shotgun I have is a Mossberg 590a1.

You mean mix and match different types into the same 8 shot tube?
It's fine. Of course, it's only 8 shots if you have 2.75" shells.

as long its not a choked barrel, or specifically says 2 3/4 shells only (yours isnt) it should eat anything.
