Walmart .223 ammo any good?

Was looking at the remington 223 .55gr at walmart, decent price and its a credit card charge which won't spike the old ladies evil eye. Is it any good? Im geussing with the remington name, its decent?

It's decent ammo and shoots well out of my AR.

It was the first stuff I put through both my ARs. I just cleaned the Milpitas Walmart out of their 24 boxes on Sunday.

it worked great out of my ar....I had no problems hitting steel plates at 400 yards with it

Some bastage (one of you guys probably ) bought all 30-something boxes they had at the Gilroy Sprawly last Thursday or Friday. Thereby leaving me none.

If I'd been a day earlier I might have done the same thing, heheh.

i'm not a target shooter and an all-around novice shooter (read: not a good shooter) and i've done as well as a .25" three round group with that ammo through a 24" dpms bull-barreled upper.

If for any reason you're not satisfied with the Ammo from Walmart take it back to the outlet and demand that your getting some satisfaction. For the personal use I have used the Remington UMC brands from Walmart and have had excellent performance from each box. Never a FTF maybe a .22 cal occassionally but thats rare too. but I would predict that their supplier is the same source as your local gunshop. and not imported from China. Keep on Plinkin'

i talked to a long time reloader and army shooting team member and he told me that remington has some of the highest standards and quality control in the biz. he also told me that federal/american eagle that we buy at the store is ammo that is rejected by the military (not that it isn't ok to shoot or bad ammo). anywho, umc is a good brand and the price at wallmart is still really good (as prices continue to go up).

anyone seen umc .308 there?
