    Best .22LR Ammo for GSG-5?

What is the best .22LR ammo to shoot out of a GSG-5? Mostly used for Target Shooting. Currently using Federal Ammunition (525 Round Value Pack).
Your opinions or facts is greatly appreciated...

no personal experience but i've heard that the federal target ammo (300something count) is much more reliable than the 525 pack. I think it's like $1-$2 cheaper for about 200 less rounds....it's the only bulk .22 my brother will run in his rifle because it's the only one he hasn't had issues with (not sure what rifle he has).

I'm planning on getting a GSG-5 in the not too distant future so if you find something that works make sure you post it!!!!

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

When i had mine it ran the best on CCI mini mags. I little more expensive but well worth it.

I've got the GSG-522 (new version of GSG-5, post HK lawsuit), and I've put CCI bulk, Federal, and Remington bulk through it. It eats them all up just fine.

It isn't exactly a precision rifle. I've got no problem throwing cheap stuff down the barrel, and haven't had any problems with any of the brands.

The best ammo for it is what runs good in it. if your just punching paper then use the cheap bulk stuff if it functions properly. If you insist on quality ammo, CCI Minimags are always a good choice. Whatever you do, I would advise you stay away from Remington 22 ammo. They seem to be having lots of issues right now with there priming. Lots of reports of duds being found. I can vow for this first hand...

I've shot about 300 rounds of the reminton thunderbolts that they sell at Walmart and it worked fine, they're a bit on the dirty side though. I've also shot some federal bulk pack too and they worked too. Accuracy wise, I can hit the first and second row of steel targets on the pistol side at Angeles pretty consistently.
