WTF? Gander Mountain won't ship bullets to CA? This is not even loaded rounds, just some Hornady A-Max bullets.

Do you have an email from them saying that they won't ship it to you? I've bought so much ammo from them before and they never had a problem shipping it to me. They didn't even require a signature from me.

I do not have an email, but on the checkout page it says they cannot ship this product to my zip code. I have bought ammo from them as well.

Maybe because they dropship the bullets from Hornady?

With the coupon code that is emailed to you if you purchased from them before and subscribe to their email blasts. I Also posted a thread up in the commercial sales and good deals section with this coupon code, so I figure some Calgunners would have taken advantage of it already.

Not just Gander Mtn.

Midway won't ship any components to me anymore either.

I had heard others complain about this, but always had giotten what I ordered, so I assumed it was just a glitch.

One day while checking out with some Starline Brass, a similar thing popped up and said they could not ship to my address. No more components from Midway. I use Powder Valley and Graf ans Sons for most of my stuff now.

The trick with them is to add stuff to your cart. Go to the checkout screen and not checkout.

Usually in about a week they email you a $20 off $100 and $50 off $250 code.

I don't think it's blanket refusal to ship to California, but only to certain California cities or counties that prohibits it. For example, Sportsmans Guide will ship to most of CA but will not ship to LA, Oakland, Sacramento, SFO, Marin, Napa, Ventura or Yolo counties. Go figure. I asked Sportsmans Guide for some written evidence that these destinations actually prohibited them from shipping but all I got was some inane mumbling about corporate policy.

I live in Montebello and am not in a restricted city. I get ammo and other things shipped here all the time.

But Montebello is IN county of LA, which some others dealers have on their no-go-list for ammo or components.

Why do people continue to shop at SG and CTD? These two companies have done far more harm to Californian's 2A rights than the Brady Bunch has. Many smaller companies mistakenly feel that they have done their homework and just follow in their footsteps believing that it is illegal to ship many legal items to parts or all of California. The best thing to do is not give either company a dime for ANYTHING!

I tried an Orange County and a San Diego Zip code. They won't ship bulk bullets. I added a 250 round box of UMC 40cal and they will ship that to Orange County. I can get loaded pistol ammo but no bulk bullets.

I tried ordering some Winchester brass from Gander Mountain a week ago. I live in Santa Barbara and they won't ship it here either. I tried sending them an email but I haven't gotten any response. Second email sent today.
