.308 reloading case length help

This is my first time setting up my .308 dies.
My Lyman manual has a diagram of a .308 and it shows the case length to be 2.015" but just under that it says "trim to length 2.005"
My Lee manual says 2.015". I adjust my full length resizer and I can get as close to 2.005" is 2.006".
Am I ok?
Any why the big difference between the diagram and wording below it?

As long as its under 2.015 your fine. In fact, it can probably go longer, it depends on your rifles chamber. After you resize the brass a few times, it will grow longer. When its too long, trim it back to 2.005"

I haven't come across a chamber that measured less than 2.015". Even my Palma rifle's chamber measures out to 2.017".

You don't use the FL sizing die to adjust case length, you trim them.

If you are setting your sizing die to adjust cartridge length you are pushing the shoulder back and making excessive headspace.
