I've been working on some soft shooting loads for plinking. These were shot from a Glock 19 with factory springs. I tested 3 different powders. WST, WSF, and Bullseye.
Function
All these rounds functioned the pistol perfectly. BTW, this is a pretty new G19 so it's still pretty stiff. Less than 2k rounds through it. The brass was ejected away from the gun and the shooter. And the slide stayed back after the last shot.
Cleanliness
None of the rounds were as clean as I'd expected. WST was the cleanest followed by WSF followed by BE. But they were all pretty dirty compared to normal velocity rounds like my normal WST load. But a little filth is expected when playing with mouse farts.
Recoil
The BE loads were the lowest recoil but not much different than the other two. But they were also going the slowest. The difference between the WST and WSF was hardly noticeable. I'd give the slight advantage to WST since the recoil felt the same and it had a higher velocity. Compared to 115gr WWB, the difference was unbelievable. An 8 year old little girl could shoot these all day long. Extremely soft for 9mm. More of a push than a snap. Felt almost like really low recoil 45.
Accuracy

You'll have to wait until next week. I didn't give any concrete accuracy tests yet. My guess is WST will win as 900fps usually yields outstanding accuracy in these game loads. I will test them for accuracy soon though.
So if your looking for a soft shooting 9mm load to get you mom or girlfriend to the range, you may want to try one of these out.
Also if anyone wants me to email them this Excel spreadsheet, I'd be happy to, just PM me your email address.
