Multiple SDB presses vs 550 w/caliber conversions

Anyone decide to go with multiple SDB presses instead of a 550/650 with toolheads and caliber conversions?

I currently have one SDB, and debating what to do now that I want to load another caliber. I bought the SDB used, so I can always sell it for what I paid. Somewhat tempted to look for another used SDB in the caliber I want. Then I could load either caliber without having to switch around anything.

options 2 is to sell the SDB, and buy a 550 set up for 2 calibers.

    decisions decisions.

If you are only loading, or plan on loading handgun cartridges, then the SDB's are a great way to go.

I love the auto indexing, really tough to double charge or miss a charge for that matter, though it can be done.

They take up little space and really even though the caliber conversions are a little more costly, to me they are the hot set up all around.

While there is nothing wrong with the 550, I'm sold on the SDB.

Here is a pic of the three that I have mounted to a plate that is then mounted to a large vise. Since the vise swivels, I can load any caliber that I have simply by swiveling to the one I want. I am currently looking for loader number four to complete the deal.

I like your setup. I guess one other obvious fact is if you need to load at the 800+ round an hour rate, a 650/1050 is the obvious choice. I'm pretty happy with 400rds/hr for how much I shoot. (for now)
