anyone, experience with Nosler E-Tip NON-lead bullets?

i just bought two boxes of 50 bullets today, just wanted to try them out. i bought the 150 grain .308 diameter bullets for my bolt action .30-06 and my .308 for some varmint hunting that i'll do in the condor zone. i might even use these bullets for some big game hunting down south in the future too.

    anyone have experience with these?

what type of game did you hunt with these?

are they just as good as lead bullets?

non lead bullets seem to be bigger than lead bullets of the same weight, is there anything i need to know when loading these bullets then?

HornetRN: I haven't loaded the E-tips, but have loaded and shot Barnes TSX's and Hornady GMX's. These are outstanding bullets, as they are accurate with great terminal results.
After talking to people at both companies, I loaded them both to same OAL and powder charges as normal bullets[in my rifle]. You can call Nosler, and they'll steer you in the right direction. As with any new load, work up carefully. The last two seasons, I've had to had to hunt the "Condor range", so, I'm with you on that. Hopefully this season, I'll draw X-12.

nra just did a comparison between the 2 .
you should be able to check it out on trhe websight.

if you are a member it is available.

if not it may be time to drop the $25 bucks.

The expansion sucks, but sure zip down range nice. Seem to be more accurate than traditional lead. I prefer to hunt with Barnes. Better expansion than lead or ETips.
