Aside from the ammo Fishslayer was talking about, will these bi-metal or coated jackets still fail the simple magnet test? (meaning that they may not be allowed at some ranges)

      Question for Fishslayer...
I took a second look at the Winchester page for the MC76254R product number. It is odd that the bullet displayed looks like a pistol slug. Is that what the ammo you bought looks like?

Winchester Ammunition manufactures quality, performance rifle ammo for hunting, sport- and recreational shooting.

If you can get your hands on some, I know WOLF GOLD 7.62x54R is brass cased and lead core, non-magnetic.

If it has steel, a magnet will stick.

Nope. Mine is pointy.... my guess is they told the copy chick "Put a picture of a sliced bullet on the page." And she did. People who build pages & catalogs aren't necessarily gun people.

Kinda deceptive. They show lead core kinda implying it is steel free.
