I used them with the 185 Gr XTP's

Started with 5.0 worked up to 5.7.

4.5 will still cycle my glock fine with stock springs.

FOr most rounds I like 231 but i do sometimes make girlie rounds for my girlie 1911. I use this for introducing new shooters. It has very light springs and shoots 3.1 g BE 240 swc. I have heard that some of the bullseye shooters also shoot light loads of BE. Do be careful with BE because you can fit a double charge in the case.

I use 4.5 grains of bullseye under a 230 grain LRN.

I also used to use Bullseye at 4.5 but switched to 231. 230gr Lrn

My Glock 30 requires reasonably stiff loads to function.

I have been using Rainier's 200gr plated flat nose over 5.2gr of Bullseye with a COAL of 1.200"

I have no idea what the velocity is, but they are very comfortable, shoot straight and function 100% in a gun that is a little bit finicky.

WST is what you're looking for.

OP, Berry's are plated not jacketed.

For plated bullets you'll want to use cast boolit load data.

4.2gr of Bullseye under a 230gr round nose (LRN or plated) is accurate in both my 4.2" & 5" barrels.

I've found the groups start to open up at about 4.6gr.

Yes, it is possible to double charge using Bullseye but if you are paying attention a double charge is obvious & easily spotted.

I've found a 200gr RNHB (round nose hollow base) over 3.8gr of Bullseye is a nice powderpuff load for my 1911. The wife loves it, but make sure the gals are wearing full T-shirts. That load just kind of lobs the brass out of the port & it has a tendency to land between the twins.

You're about to be amazed. There is no better powder for 45 than WST. You'll love it super clean, low recoil, high volume, meters like water, etc...

I'm on my iPad right now out and about. I'll post some data in a few hours when I get home.

                        I also load with 230gr Berry's.

Bullseye is a better powder for the .45 ACP.

I use Bullseye in the 45/1911. It works great, especially with reduced loads. My current load is 3.8gr using 185gr Moly LSWC. I am running a reduced recoil spring though.

Give that filthy out dated powder back to your grandpa and get some WST.

Burns cleaner, cooler, way more volume, and just as accurate. Tell me why BE is better?

Jcat, I mean no disrespect, I know you probably have way more reloading experience than me. Just want to lure you into a little spirited debate.
