WOLF .308 - good? bad?

Is wolf .308 good?
wolf 7.62x39, 7.62x54r, 8mm all have worked fine for me but their 9mm really worked poorly in my pistol FTE, FTL, some rounds seemed hotter (more felt recoil and poorer grouping than normal)
If wolf is worthless, what suggestions do you have?

This is my own opinion.....

If wolf was all there was, I might have to learn all about bow's and arrows. Cross-bow that is. I honestly don't know about wolf .308. I reload myself. I know their .223 is hit and miss on how it works in a rifle. I just prefer to load something I know will work when the East LA Zombies come

Wolf 308 works great for me. Very dirty! Pink sealer every where.

I have a couple hundred rounds of WOLF .308 and I wouldn't use it to save my life.

Ask RSSSLVR how well WOLF .308 works...lmao.

If you like locked up guns, split cases, blown out case heads, bent mag bodies, bent receivers... go for it!

Maybe the QC improved by now, but the older lots were dangerous IMHO.

I was thinking about some for my Springfield Scout. .308 is getting so expensive and I don't trust myself to reload. I guess it will remain a safe queen.

Sammy it doesn't have tobe a safe Queen. There is still some surplus out there. You just need to keep your eyes and ears open. Reloading isn't that hard. It only took me a year to quit screwing stuff up. Then I picked up the book and started reading like I was suppose to. You see, I'm only a high school type graduated person ( slow ) I have X's that have called me other things.

I think there was a discrepancy as to wether or not the black box .308 was infact 7.62x51 NATO, which as you may or may not know is not always interchangeable with 308. The Wolf Gold .308 is another story.

Its way more reliable and pretty accurate to boot.

I've got 200 rds. of 9mm wolf I'll trade you for it...
Unless I start dismantling them for parts...I mean bullets, I won't bother to reuse that dirty powder.

Hitting COM at 10 yards was all I wanted it to do. No joke, 1 in 4 was a flyer the last time I shot that junk.
rapid fire with WWB I could keep it all inside the "vitals" of my favorite target, with that Wolf (maybe I got a bad batch) I could shoot consistently. Now the indoor range I go to at lunch time won't allow steel cases so I have no excuse to use this junk ever again.

LOL I actually won't sell or give it away and Ive had many many offers, believe me. Some people are too stupid for their own good. You show them pics of broken rifles and split cases and they *STILL* offer $$ to buy it, like they want the projectiles or something...

Its so dangerous Im waiting till the SHTF so I can distribute it randomly lol... Like those old NVA-killer rounds with the C4 in them (IM KIDDING)

Also Wildcard, I think you're thinking of the green Wolf 308 that was linked on that belt that Big Jon had...that stuff is in this lot, but Im not sure, it might have been this gray Wolf I offered you (which was really just a joke, yer .308 is too nice to risk on this ammo)

Chrono'd at 2450fps out of my 21" L1A1
Cavim/SA were both in the 2700fps range

MANY MANY primers popping out the back of the cases on my L1A1.. no problems with CAVIM 92, SA Surplus and free handloads on winchester brass.

I would wait about 6 months before buying a lot of WOLF .308

I shoot only wolf in my SKS and in over 1200 rounds I have not had a single problem. In my kel tek and my AK I shoot .223 wolf with no problems at all. This ammo is only 2 years old, is that why?, was this an older problem?.
