Is my ammo dangerous to use?

I'm a complete n00b to reloading and just finished about 200 rounds. The guy at the shop said it would be okay to use TiteGroup powder with the Lee Classic Loader .5cc dipper so I just kind of went with it. Here's what I have:

Lee Classic Loader (the $30 kind you have to use a mallet with)
    9mm Luger
    124 Grain Copper Plated bullets
    CC1 Small Pistol Primers
    TiteGroup Powder

I went to the Lee Precision site and it states that with the Lee Dipper TiteGroup comes in at 5.9. 5.9 what?

I'm looking at the chart my loader came with and I can't find any info on the Titegroup - so now I'm all confused.

Any help would be appreciated. I'd hate to throw away all these reloads - I also don't want to fire these rounds if it poses a danger.

My Lee book says 4.7 grs of Titegroup is max for a 124gr bullet and it also says a .5 dipper would put about 6.1 grs of the powder in your case, so I would say NO!, do not shoot it, you should pull the bullets, get a reloading book and read it a few times, buy a scale and learn how to use it.

Also, I would take that guy at the store off my list of people to ask questions of, I am just sayin...

Don't fire them!!!!!!!!!!! you should probably invest in a good scale. From Hodgdons website you can get info. Looks to me like That load would be about 35 % over a max load!! hate to see you blow up your gun or yourself. http://data.hodgdon.com/main_menu.asp

Not safe. Pull 'em. I would never use TG with dippers. That advice was idiotic. A Lee scale is like what, 20$? Crappiest scale out there, but still way better than the dippers.

You just learned a valuable lesion here! Always use three different printed or online reloading manuals. Now it's time to go and buy a bullet puller.

I agree with these guys. Forget the dipper, and get a scale and powder measure. But before you get these, pick up a reloading manual - I recommend the latest Lyman, although I use the Hornady book most often...heck, why not pick up both?

Damn it. Thanks for the heads up. Glad I didn't shoot these.

I take it I can use the already primed cases? Or do I have to reprime them?

200 rounds shouldn't take you very long to disassemble. Figure about 10 seconds each, once you get a rhythm - 30-40 minutes.

If you're not familiar with kinetic bullet pullers, check out this thread that I posted last year:

Primers are still good, no need to reprime. May have to resize the case.

you will only have to re-bell them.

Good thing you asked here. You probably would've blown up your gun and maybe part of your hand with it.

+1 to all the advice above (BUY A SCALE, DAMN IT!). And please, also check Hodgdon's Web site. They have a Reloader's Guide there for us to use, and it should be part of your reference materials, along with a couple of good reloading manuals.

Yeah, I'm also glad. I need my hand... and my gun.

Bought the recommended bullet puller hammer thing and will go to town on 225 of the "mistakes". At least all is pretty much salvagable. Learning lesson indeed.
