    Cheap Powder?

    2 ques:

    1. what is the cheapest powder you can use for 55 gr 223 reloads?

    2. where is the cheapest place to order powder in bulk? i prefer to use RL-7 because its easy for a newb like me and i can use it for 223 and 7.62x39 reloads.

concrete info and subjective opinions are appreciated, in that order.

One way to save money is to look for a group buy in your area. Saves money on the hazmat & shipping...

A pound of powder goes a long way, around my parts most shops sell powder for between $16.99 and $24.99. Unless you are loading in exceptional quantities, your best savings will probably be realized by purchasing locally or at a regional gun show, saving the cost of shipping and hazmat fees.

Surplus powder purchased from a fellow CG'er.

In itself, surplus stuff is going to be by bulk and cheaper. If you're lucky, you can find a CG'er in LA lookin to get rid of some of theirs. Purchased on the "used" market and FTF, there are no hazmat or shipping charges...
