    Precision Delta anyone?

I am low on funds, so I have been using Berry's DS. I have had great results. They were the cheapest that I could find, so I thought I would give them a shot. I have been very happy with there product. Just recently some told me about Precision Delta. They seem to have great prices. From what I understand is, If you order 2000rnds the shipping is free. Also, what I gather from their site is, if you order less than 2000rnds they charge $5 shipping. The price for 124gn JHP is $85.00 for 1000rnds + $5 for shipping. Thats $4 more dollars less than berry's. From what these are Jhp and berry's are plated hollow point.
Has anyone had experience with both. I would like to compare and contrast before a large purchase. Or has anyone use the Precision Delta bullets before? Don't get me wrong, I love berry's, but 1000 for$90 shipped to your door. Thanks for the help.

I've heard of them for reloaded ammo, but not components. I'll have to look at what else they've got...

        PD's

I load Precision Delta bullets, along with Montana Gold.

I am not sure about the free shipping for 2000+ orders. When you go on their site, you enter your zip code and all quotes include shipping after that, at least that is the way it worked a few days ago.

I just ordered 1000 115gr RN FMJ from them for $76 total, that is a pretty good price. I actually prefer Montana Gold, they cost slightly more when shipping is factored in, but they are harder. The reason I have switched to PD's is I only have to order 1000 at a time with PD, with MG it is 4000 at a time.

I have been using PD for my 9mm 115gr. I buy them 4K at a time and am pretty happy. I do wish they were plated on the bottom as well, but for the price I am happy with them.

MG uses a brass jacket right? What does PD do? Are they a true copper jacket or are they plated? I couldn't find much info on their site about their bullets, just how to order, but in the company history they did say they bought a machine to construct jacketed bullets...

The bullet descriptions say "FMJ". Plated bullets would not say that.
So, they must be real jacketed bullets.

I am not sure if MG is brass or some other alloy. I do know they are pretty hard. When I have to pull one, my collet puller rarely puts any kind of dent in the bullet.

I think the PD's appear to be a full copper jacket, very similar in construction to the MG, unlike plated like Berry's for instance. In my experience the PD's jacket is softer than MG's but much harder than Berry's which is REALLY soft.

I have not done any consistency testing between PD and MG, but I would not be surprised to find the MG's holding tighter tolerances, but that is just an opinion based on decidedly unscientific experiences with the two brands.

Cool, that's what I had assumed was the case, I just wanted to make sure since you said PD's bullets were softer. Thanks for clearing that up

I use MG all the time. My wife shoots 124 Gr. 9mm in M&P9 and my son 147 Gr. in his Glock. They aren't the best looking bullet but the shoot very well, load easily and are accurate. I prefer them over MG, but that is just my preference.

I just ordered another 8K today as a matter of fact.

Thank you for the tip! Their site says "multiples of 2000" for free shipping, at the bottom of the individual product page and on the tab at the left side of page when you view your cart ... but they processed my order for 1000, no added shipping

Are they running behind in shipping? I placed an order on 3/30 ... no delivery or shipping email and they haven't answered my email requesting status.

I use PD all the time, last order was for 10K of 9mm 115g. I also use their 147g for comp. No issues, great bullet at a great price. The ones that I get are FMJ not plated.

PD not as fast as some, not as slow as others...

My PD orders usually take about 10 days, not as fast as Missouri Bullet Company (which comes in like 3 days), but not as slow as Penn. I order about every 5-6 weeks from PD and have not run dry yet.

I don't recall getting an eamil notice of shipment from PD. I am trying to remember (I buy a lot of things online), but I think they ship flat rate USPS, so some of the automated email notice stuff you get with that "logistics" company may not happen.
