    Case prep tools

I have RCBS Chamfer and Deburring Tool 17 to 45 Caliber and primer pocket tool. They work great especially the Chamfer tool.

Problem is when I use them I get wrist pain. I've put bit part of the primer pocket tool in a drill and that worked well but the wires are starting to come out, they used to do that anyway.

So question is: Are their any power devices made that do the above to functions?

It would sure make things easier.

Get a Sinclair carbide primer pocket uniformer and chuck that in a cordless drill.

Yes, actually, several types of trimmers have a "V" cutting head which negates the need to trim. The CH4D trimmer has a motorized inside deburring cutter attached to it's shaft. You can also look at the RCBS trim mate. If you're cheap, you can always turn down your deburring tool until it fits in a 1/2" chuck and use your 1/2" drill press to turn it.

As far as primer pocket tools go, there are several different types of tools. Are you trying to remove crimps or uniform the depth. Either one is easy to motorize. I just wanted to let you know that there are different primer pocket tools.

        Sinclair carbide primer pocket uniformer
I went to the Sinclair website and checked out that tool.

This is 556 brass and I swage the primer pocket with Dillon tool. Will the above tool work after I have swaged brass. It sounds like the tool will render future swaging of military brass unnecessary.

I have old Dillon trimmer so I have to chamfer inside and outside after I trim. I usually only need to make one revolution to chamfer I only take off a very small amount of brass.

you can buy the dillon 1200 timmer, where you resize and trim at the same time. Afterwards, when you decap/deprime the brass, the neck is expanded and ready for seating. no deburring needed.

You can use the possum hollow power adapter ($10) for the deburring tool in your drill. They're out of stock at midway, but you can buy from them direct.

Use Giraud or Gracey power trimmers, or Possum Hollow trimmer chucked in a drill. All of these debur and chamfer as they trim, done!

Don't worry about cleaning inside primer pockets with the wire brush tool. This is something that does not have to be done. The cleaning you do by tumbling is all that is needed. Primer pockets can be somewhat tarnished and do not need to be mirror brite brass, just empty of primer or tumbling media or other large swarf.

Negative. That tool is designed to square the bottom of the primer pocket, indexing off the casehead. The military crimp has to be removed first. The nice thing about it, though, the carbide cutter cuts through brass like a hot knife through butter and cleans the primer pocket in the process

If you use a Lee trimming set, you will be spinning the case itself, and can just hold the hand debur/chamfer tool steady. If you only do small volume reloading, this is my route of choice. However, if you've got to do hundreds of cases (been there... shivers at the thought of repeating) yeah, it sucks.

                          Thanks for all the responses.

I've ordered prerrt much all the tools mentioned. I ordered from Sinclair since they had everything in stock.
