I really like the SDB's....got three of them so far and looking for a fourth. They work great!

I mounted mine to a plate that can pivot because it's mounted to a swivel-base vise. Access to any loader at any time simply by rotating the vise.

OP....I'm not trying to be over critical here, but there is a lot of flex on your loading bench top, that's usually not a good thing for consistent loads as it can cause inconsistent powder throws. Just a suggestion to maybe strengthen it up a little.

ya my table is pretty crappy. i'm working with limited work space so it's hard to fine a good quality table. the machine is still throwing consistant powder even with all the movement. lol, you should have seen my last table

Hey, pretty cool! While I agree on the bench, the press itself looks good 'n' solid. That's the first time I've seen a Square Deal B in action. You're making a great case for the use of a progressive press for high-volume ammo.

Question about the SDB, not knowing much about it (I currently use different gear). Since I do reload multiple cartridges, how much would it cost to change from, say, .38 Spl to .45 Colt on one of these?

yeah, throw some more bolts thru table to bech top and wall to bench. or a couple brackets under it. other than that got the same in 9 and 45 . very consistant.

caliber changes are about $100. proprietary dies, another tool head and primer sled, primer tubes, and what not.......

Nice video. I've never seen a SDB in action either. Not as antiquated as I thought. Could have used some narration or music..

You might get some longer bolts & bolt a pair of 2x4 under the table top & thru the press. Use 2x4 long enough to reach front to back of the top. That would stiffen it up rather well IMO.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

You get the two different primer sleds with a SDB. Although the dies are proprietary, they are slightly more cost than the standard Dillon die cost. (The SDB also comes with a die set when bought, unlike their bigger brothers.) You don't really NEED another tool-head, but it really enhances the changes.
Ebay also has many dies for sale for a little less than new.
It's very much like a caliber change in most any of the Dillon products. You can get all of the goodies to make the switch faster/easier, but they are a luxury, not a necessity.

That being said....I go for the luxury every time! Oh yeah!
