    RCB X-Die

I searched the forum but did not find a thread discussing these dies. RCB X-Dies are supposed to minimize the need to trim brass. But the instructions says you have to trim the cases anyways... The instructions are as follow:
All cases must be sized and trimmed to the same overall length. For the
best results, full-length resize each case and trim to .020” under maximum
case length. This is a “one-time only” preparation of any and all cases to
be used in the X-Sizer die (RCB).
so does that mean that the first round requires one to prep that brass normally (resize + trim) and then put them through the X-Die. Afterwards, these cases no longer need to be trimmed when they are resized using X-Dies? If so, i guess that means one has to keep track of what brass as been where...

    Brass Tracking

I use an X die for my Garand. I shoot once resize and trim. I mark all the trimmed brass with a marker. Just a black line across the back of the case. Then when I sort the brass I know which ones to use the X die to resize. Works for me. I'm shooting HXP from CMP as original brass.
