Q's on using scales

Hi all. Heres my dilemma. I'm using a Lyman pro-1000 beam scale to set up and verify powder charges. Is there a way to verify weights of less than 5.0 grs.of powder? I'm not trusting the GS-1500 digiscale that came with my press. BTW, the pamphlet that came with the Lyman didn't say squat about small charges.

Did you get a 1 ounce test weight? If so weigh the test and add powder to that.

Yes, set the large slider o the left to 0 and then use the small slider for measurements 0.1 - to 5.0 grains. The digits between the 1 and 2 are .1 increments.

For example, for 4.3 grains. Set the large slider to 0, the small slider on the third line after 4. Done.

Be sure your scales zero'd. Set all sliders to 0 and put the pan on. Make sure it lines up with the line.
