Same here -- my 1500 sits about 6 feet directly underneath a double-tube fluoresescent shop light in my garage, and is completely unaffected by it. I've weighed out charges and re-weighed them an hour later, and the next day, and they're always the same.
To be fair, I have it plugged into a voltage regulator, so that can't hurt, and I always let it warm up for about an hour before I start using it. So if you're worried about voltage changes, get a regulator and forget about it. I could NEVER use a triple beam or other manual scale again. Too spoiled.
