store front in San Diego

Mail order is great, but I dont mind helping someone local stay in business for the ability to exchange info face to face. With that said, are there any shops in San Diego that have a stocked reloading store front? Dies? Powders? Primers, etc, etc?

I was in La Mesa Collectibles about a month ago and bought some primers and powder. Very friendly people to do business with. Will give product prices over the phone.

+1...La Mesa Collectables will get it for you, if they don't have it. They moved to an odd location, but doubled their floor area.

La Mesa Collectibles is a good place, helpful friendly guys there.

There is also Discount Gun on Morena Blvd, near the 5 & 8. There is one on No. Magnolia near Prospect in El Cajon/Santee too, but the Morena one carries more stuff, although they might be able to ship stuff back and forth to each store.

P2K has some powder, primers and mostly shotgun reloading stuff.

Duncan's in San Marcos carries reloading stuff.

Turner's on Clairemont Mesa Blvd has stuff.

And American Shooting Center has some stuff, mostly Bear Creek bullets. (Cash only by the way, but the prices are competitive.)

Then there's El Cajon Gun Exchange....if you can put up with all of the BS there, that crew needs some congeniality lessons, they have some reloading stuff as well. (The WORST guy there is Ron, look out for that guy.) Their prices are usually a little more than most around town, but if you need something and gotta have it....

Agree with everyone with La Meas collectibles. I had to order special wads for my shotgun load and it was in within a few days.

Thanks guys, I just opened a Hornady Lock and Load progressive press given to me as a present. The wife was able to get the "progressive" press hints turned into a H. LNL from midwayusa.com. now it just needs the specific add-ons, she even got the .223 shell plate..

I just took a NRA metallic case class a couple of weeks ago, and as money is available, parts need to be picked up. Would love to be able to window shop and actually touch the stuff, so a store front would be great. Will check them out...

Sounds like a good wife you have there. Have fun with your LnL, I love mine! Don't forget about the 500 free bullets with that press! Mail in rebate that can sometimes take months to receive...but free is free! they also give 100 for a set of dies.

La Mesa Collectibles, Rick is a GREAT guy. 1-2 of the other guys are cool, but there is one that is a typical gun store " Guy ". Rick will help you out and get you what you need in a very almost buddy like attitude.

La mesa collectables is one of those places where customer service is always #1. I don't care who you are. If you walk in there you will get stuck talking shop with these guys. They like having customers if your there to buy or just shoot the breeze. They have been kinda low on pistol pullets lately but I don't buy my primers anywhere else. Winchester primers for cheap and no hazrip costs.

Was in LMC today and they have stocked up on reloading goodies. There were a couple of Hornady loaders sitting on the floor in the reloading area of the store.

Of course everyone there was super friendly and more than welcome you into any stories that might be told at the time.

Rick is still doing the reloading classes as well, I believe that he said they are now on Saturday's instead of in the evenings. Give em a call for more info I guess.

I found a 100 box of Speer 148 LHBWC for a mere $6.50, which is really a good deal if you haven't checked.

I'm in North county and I've been to Turner's. It's a decent little store, but I went specifically to try out various presses and accessories... which they stink for. They had exactly one scale and one powder measure (which was inoperable).

They did have powder and projectiles too but I wasn't shopping for those.

El Cajon Gun Exchange has a couple Dillons and RCBS presses set up, I caught them one eve when it was quiet and dude walked me through 'em and showed me some stuff. When they' get busy they probably won't have the time...not the friendliest folks generally.
