How Much Does 9mm Brass Weigh?

I don't know if this question sounds dumb or not.

But anyways, work isn't cutting it so I'm going to sell some of the reloading stuff I've started to collect, and postpone my reloading endeavor. I have a bag of 9mm brass that I was going to sell and wasn't sure approx how many it is per pound, I have a six pound bag. Thanks in advance.

Each case weighs between 56 and 70 grains, without the primer, depending on brand.

If you use 1gal ziploc freezer bags to store your brass, each (full) bag contains:

9mm, 15.6#, 1836cases
40s&w, 12.2#, 1219cases
45acp, 11.4#, 890cases
223, 11#, 809cases

or if you use the 5gal bucket method

9MM = 8500-9000 pieces
.40 S&W = 7000-7500 pieces
.45 ACP = 3800-4000 pieces
.223 = 3600 pieces

1 Gallon coffee can
9mm = 1300
.40 = 1000
.223 = 600 jiggled a while

You can certainly get a better price per piece if you buy in bulk, but if you can get 4500 pcs for $30 then you could be in business.

I sell my tumbled, resized and deprimed (Even primer pocket cleaned) 9mm brass for $30 for 1000.... Lots of work on my end.

Ok, your choice. I got it 3 weeks ago. Meanwhile I have cleaned, deprimed, sorted, weighed and bagged it into 500 count ziplocks for reloading.

A guy at a local gun store sold it to me since he decided he was not going to reload the 9mm brass. (Thanks Dan!)

Anyway... as I said, your choice.
