The lyman manual hands down as the first.A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

My Uncle Joe's Lymans' 45th edition is what I started with when I first learned how to handload 357 Mag (my first caliber) but the Lyman's 46th (my first handloading manual I bought) taught me how to handload everything else. It holds special sentimental value to me and I have still have it. I have bought every new edition since. I would like this for my first if I started over. I also like the Sierra & Hornady but I have others as well in various editions. Call me kooky, call me wacky
For quick reference, I like to reach for Hogdon's Annual manual.
